METROPOLITAN POLICE (HAYES) BOWLS CLUB

The Bowls club was formed in 1935 and is a very active sports section of The Warren and is said to have the best all round facilities of any club in South East London.

The bowling green is open to all members of The Warren to enjoy from the middle of April until the end of September, dependent upon the weather. A registration fee is payable to join the bowls club, please send your application to the Bowls Club secretary.

Play is allowed from 1pm daily, unless the green is being used by the Bowls Club. A diary is kept in the pavilion which gives details of all Bowls Club fixtures which are held against various clubs in the surrounding area, plus 12 indoor friendly games during the winter months. The fixtures are a mixture of competitive games and friendly games.

Practice games or “roll-ups” normally take place on Tuesday and Friday afternoons, or at any other time when the green is not being used for a match.

If you wish to improve your skills The Club has a qualified bowls coach who is available for coaching on a regular basis.
