THE WARREN FOOTBALL CLUBS

The Warren Junior Football Club was established in 2000, originally intended to be a club run by members of the MPS who were interested in football and with sons and daughters who loved to play the game.  The original founders of the club were connected to the Metropolitan Police and take their name from the famous Metropolitan Police Hayes Sports Club, affectionately known as “The Warren” in Hayes Kent.

The prime purpose of The Warren Junior FC is to provide a fun, safe and supportive environment for children to play football and to be supported by parents and people who care about them and the game.  All coaches, managers and helpers are fully CRB checked, trained in First Aid and Safeguarding Children with many FA licensed level 1 and above.

Over the years The Club has grown to its current size with, at the time of writing in 2020, 16 junior teams in the following age categories U7, U8, U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14 and U18 age categories, and currently has the most members in its 17-year history.  We also pride ourselves on having a very successful girls team who are doing very well in the League.

It provides coaching and enters competitive teams in the Tandridge and Kent Ladies leagues, for 5-18 year olds. The Club is non-profit making with the current Committee comprising of parents and some founding members.

Training takes place at:- The Annexe, St Dunstans Lane, West Wickham BR3 3SS

Training sessions vary depending upon age group but are generally on a Saturday and Wednesday. Training times vary depending upon age group but generally start at 9:30am and finish around midday

Matches are played at the training ground and also at Metropolitan Police Hayes Sports Club (The Warren) Croydon Road, Hayes BR2 7AL

We are also fortunate enough to be able to use pitches at Hayes Primary School and an Astro Pitch at Bishop Justus.

The senior team was established in 2014 growing out of the junior teams. It also played in Sunday leagues before being elected to the Southern Amateur League via a joint venture with Lloyds Bank FC.

The Club has always been a non profit community enterprise with the money collected in fees being ploughed back into The Club for the benefit of all our members. Our committee members are volunteers, giving up their time for the benefit of The Club.

The senior club encourages its players to volunteer on the senior Committee and take on roles for the team. We are proud to say that players who were once juniors are now on that committee. We very much hope that this cycle will continue for the benefit of The Club and that one day their children will join the junior club!

The Annexe, St Dunstans Lane, West Wickham BR3 3SS on a Wednesday Evening at 7pm.

Matches in the Southern Amateur League are generally played on a Saturday afternoon at 2pm.
